Abstract

The Covid-19 virus has spread very quickly since March 2020 in Indonesia, causing the WHO to declare the COVID-19 virus a worldwide pandemic. The spread of this virus has an impact on all aspects of life, especially in the world of education where the learning process that was originally face-to-face turned to online learning. These conditions forced students to have to study from home, thus making homeschooling the right alternative for them. In realizing the homeschooling process, parents must look for private tutors with various fields of expertise. However, in practice, the process of finding private tutors is usually done in a conventional way, which creates problems where it is enough to spend time from parents to get information on the services of private tutors. In addition to being conventional, in looking for the services of private tutors, you can also take advantage of online sites, but there are drawbacks where the site does not yet have complete features in monitoring the teaching and learning process between students and the private tutor. From the problems described, a solution will be proposed by building a search and ordering web app for online private tutoring services using the C2C Marketplace business model or often called a marketplace. The results of the study show that the information system for finding and ordering private tutoring services has been built effectively and efficiently, because there are features to monitor teaching and learning activities as well as assessments for teachers that function to maintain the quality of the guidance results.
