Abstract

Living environment is a unity of space with all objects, data, conditions, and living things, including humans and their behavior that affect nature itself, the continuity of life and well-bieng of humans and other living things. A healthy enviroment can be realized by managing waste, which can be done by reducing and handling waste. 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recyle) has become one of the national and international programs to support the realization of a healthy environment, The government and the community must work together to solve environmental problems by managing waste that is reducing and handling waste properly. Garbage has become a national and international problem, so its management needs to be carried out comprehensively and integrated because it gives broad influence to the community. Garbage as a remnant of solid human daily activities and/or natural processes, in Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Waste Management, including household waste, household-like waste and specific waste. The principle of sustainability and continuity, harmony and balance, cohesiveness and participation are important principles in the implementation of environmental protection and management in line with Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management (UUPPLH).  Environmental ethics is a reflection of environmental crises to date. Waste management is a joint responsibility of all parties, both government and society, so the continuity of life, and the welfare of humans and other living things is achieved in accordance with the mandate of UUPPLH. 3R is an embodiment of Ecosentrism Ethics which focuses on the entire ecological community both biotic and abiotic which are interrelated to one another.
