SPIRITUALITAS DALAM AKADEMIK
Abstract
Today many people interpret spirituality in a narrow definition and are limited to religious activities only. There are people who interpret spirituality as limited to the actions of those who meditate in quiet and special places. As a result of this narrow and limited understanding, the understanding of spirituality undergoes a shift and is increasingly unclear.
Education and tracking of the heart aims to bring out the intelligence it has or to treat psychiatric illnesses it suffers. By being educated and straightened out, the heart will be able to reach positive spiritual conditions and qualities of perfection and have a harmonious and balanced work order with other members of the body, even become intelligent kings of totality to make the king (other members of the body) serene and peace.
With spiritual intelligence, students will be more biased to solve these life problems based on spiritual values or religion that is believed. This spiritual intelligence is also related to conscience. The heart can know things that the mind cannot know.

Dewasa ini banyak orang yang mengartikan spiritualitas dalam definisi yang sempit dan terbatas hanya pada aktivitas keagamaan saja. Ada orang yang mengartikan spiritualitas terbatas kepada tindakan orang-orang yang bertapa di tempat-tempat sepi dan khusus. Akibat pemahaman yang sempit dan terbatas ini, pengertian spiritualitas mengalami pergeseran dan semakin tidak jelas.
Pendidikan dan penelusuran hati bertujuan untuk memunculkan kecerdasan yang dimilikinya atau untuk mengobati penyakit-pentakit psikis yang dideritanya. Dengan dididik dan diluruskan, hati akan dapat menggapai kondisi-kondisi rohani yang positif dan sifat-sifat kesempurnaan serta memiliki tata kerja yang serasi dan seimbang dengan anggota tubuh yang lain, bahkan akan menjadi raja yang cerdas dari totalitas diri sehingga membuat raja (anggota tubuh lainnya) tenteram dan damai.
Dengan kecerdasan spiritual, mahasiswa akan lebih bisa menyelesaikan permasalahan hidup ini yang berdasarkan nilai-nilai spiritual atau agama yang diyakini. Kecerdasan spiritual ini juga berkaitan dengan hati nurani. Hati dapat mengetahui hal-hal yang tidak dapat diketahui oleh pikiran.
